Grade 7 | Maths | Area of Triangle, Perimeter and Area, Olympiad, CBSE, ICSE, Maths Olympiad, Science Olympiad, English Olympiad
Perimeter of triangle:
Let AB = a, BC = b, CA = c
Perimeter = a+b+c
Semi-perimeter = (a+b+c)/2
Area of triangle = {root s(s-a)(s-b)(s-c)}
This is known as Heron's formula.
Area of an Isosceles triangle:
let equal sides be "a" and base "b"
Area of an isosceles triangle = 1 X b/2 X (root (a2 -b2) /4)
Area of an equilateral triangle: root3 / 4 X a2
