Crystallization

Crystallization is a process of obtaining a pure compound from the impure compound. It is considered the method of purification. When a hot saturated solution of an impure compound is allowed to cool slowly and kept undisturbed in a crystallizing dish then the crystals of the pure compound are formed and the impurities are left behind in the solution. For example - table salt is obtained from sea water by utilizing this method only.

It is an example of physical change as now new substance is being formed in the end of the reaction.
